Me: Is it okay if I just buy the 7th edition instead of the 8th? It's over $100 cheaper and it would be great if I could save some money.

A friend of mine that is a girl revealed her feelings for me and then pushed me away. I wanted to say something but she pushed me away out of fear.
I don’t understand what is the reasoning behind this.
I’ve had to deal with this problem during high school with certain girls and I’ve grown sick and tired of it.
Anyone willing to help with this problem?
